CyAwareBB was founded by its director Mark (Peter) Bentham. Peter has worked for more than 30 years in the information technology industry, rising from a Computer Systems Operator to an IT Area Manager with an international Petroleum company, supervising and managing the IT department managing 12 locations and 500+ users.

Our main focus is to impress on Organization, the need for their users to receive formal training in Cyber Threat Awareness and how to reduce the risk of causing their a victim of cyber-attacks through their regular desktop and email operations.
By accepting our services and following our guidelines, organizations can significantly reduce their overall risk of a Cyber Attack introduced via their Users’ Desktop operations.
We don’t gloss over Cyber Risk prevention, we provide a full awareness to the user which will include a Users Acceptance Policy which must be acknowledged by all users, this ensures their awareness of the intended use of devices issued and administered by their organizations.
CyAwareBB operates on the premise that after our Training the user is provided with training which allows them to “Make Cyber Awareness A Way Of Life”.
Our training will arm the user with enough knowledge that it will extend outside of their working environment to the operations of their personal devices at home.

The director of CyAwareBB has been active in the IT arena for over 30 years employed by Texaco an International Petroleum Company which subsequently merged with Chevron to become Chevron Texaco leading into Chevron being the sole owner and eventually being sold to Rubis Energy France operating under Rubis Eastern Caribbean SRL in the Caribbean region.
Peter worked with a third-party contractor to implement very high security protection across the Network via very effective Hardware & Software Firewall configurations. An annual schedule was created to test the Network with very tough Penetration Testing methods.
Peter also embarked on a project to provide the Cyber Security Awareness training and testing for the 500+ users (employees/contractors) of the organization. This was critical to the success of the organization’s ability to achieve and maintain their targeted Cyber Risk Rating.
Peter started his IT career as a Computer Systems Operator in 1990 and was promoted up to Systems Network Administrator where he was responsible for the maintenance and configurations of the EC Caribbean Computer Network.
Very soon after Peter was promoted to Information Technology Team Lead & Business Analyst to head an IT team of 5 other IT professionals responsible for Barbados, the Eastern Caribbean Islands, Guyana and Suriname.
Peter was again promoted, this time to a Regional Information Technology Manager working with a Team of 8 to support Barbados, the EC Islands, Jamaica, Bermuda, Cayman, Guyana and Suriname.
Multiple special projects were successfully headed by Peter throughout his IT Career, some of these would include.
- Inter-Island Network connectivity to become a WAN (Wide Area Network).
- Implementation of a Voice Over IP Telecom System.
- Eight Office relocation projects for his office with newly designed Data Centre Rooms in each instance.
- The inclusion of Point Of Sale & Automatic Tank Gauging into IT for the organization’s 74 Retail stations across the region.
- Peter’s favorite project was the Standardization of Network and Desktop facilities across the region, with a high emphasis on security of data.
